Antiphon 

I have chosen you from the world, that you should go and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain. ~Jn. 15

 

Ps. 88: 2, 4-5 ,6, 20-22

1. The mercies of the Lord I will sing for ever. I will shew forth thy truth with my mouth to generation and generation.

2. I have made a covenant with my elect: I have sworn to David my servant: Thy seed will I settle for ever.

3. The heavens shall confess thy wonders, O Lord: and thy truth in the church of the saints.

therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.

4. Then thou spokest in a vision to thy saints, and saidst: I have laid help upon one that is mighty, and have exalted one chosen out of my people.

5. I have found David my servant: with my holy oil I have anointed him.

6. For my hand shall help him: and my arm shall strengthen him.

1. My heart hath uttered a good word: I speak my works to the king:

2. My tongue is the pen of a scrivener that writeth swiftly.

3. Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips;

therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.

4. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.

5. With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign.

6. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.
